And for those who like a bit of motorcycle adventure...

A short fast 3 minute 35 second film, 11 bikers riding 500cc Royal Enfield Bullets tackling the vast deserts of Rajasthan. Cold, crisp mornings swiftly turned into the searing heat of a midday sun, we rode on sandy trails, smooth tarmac, rutted baked mud roads of the lands between the heaving cities of this vast state. Our weary but exhilarated bodies welcomed each of our overnight stops, from desert camps, hill forts to beautiful hotels tucked away in backstreets of these most intense, chaotic but beautiful pink, red and blue cities. The smiling waving children, the sweet chai, the road side dhaba's for a lunch of what was available, the near misses and occasional impact with wildlife, the laughs around campfires lasting well into the night.... all part of the adventure. High up in the Himalayas, life is very different, the faces and places we encountered were unlike anywhere else on earth. We are now part of a small group of adventurers who have tackled this route, as we know, the Himalayas are not for the faint-hearted, the mountains sheer magnitude is a test in itself, add to that the high altitudes, unpredictable weather, the risk of landslides, sheer drops, roads that are mud, water and sand, sudden border closures and route changes and you realise why this is one of the most challenging motorbike adventures on the planet. I rode with www.nomadicknights.com It seemed that the harder the day the bigger the smiles, and at night wherever we rested our tired and often bruised bodies, we shared our many tales of the day’s ride with a drink or two. We can now all claim to have riden the highest road in the world (18,340ft), we wound our way up into the mountains, through remote valleys, over beautiful desolate high passes and through the pristine and remote ranges of the India/Tibet border. We slept in tents by huge mountain lakes and under awe-inspiring snow clad peaks.
"This is not an adventure for the faint hearted. It is extremely demanding but at the same incredibly rewarding. I've found that the harder the trip the more memorable it is. Fourteen days, 2000kms of some of the most unforgiving roads, beautiful scenery, friendly people of The Seven States of North East India. You want something different?... Go on sign up for this mind blowing adventure" Dave Currie We travelled with www.nomadicknights.com
